Why I love this movie

What’s more fall than an election? This is the hilarious story of a high schooler (Reese Whitherspoon) who takes her school election way too far. If you like Netflix’s -The Politician, you’ll love this movie.

Why I love this movie

One of Tim Burton’s lesser acclaimed movies, Sleepy Hallow is another fun Halloween watch if you aren’t looking for something super scary. The casting of Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci is perfect for the retelling of this classic tale.

Bring on the tissues. This movie has me weeping every time I watch but has a gorgeous New York city/New York state fall back drop and I would be remise not to include it on this list.

Why I love this movie

This is your quintessential fall, I love NY, type of movie. It’s the sweet story of two New Yorkers who meet in the ‘old days’ of chat rooms. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are adorable and you’ll enjoy the eye-candy of New York in the fall.

Another gorgeous small East Coast town set in fall. This movie is light and fun and has an incredible 90’s soundtrack that makes up for a somewhat predictable plot.

Why I love this movie

Father of the Bride isn’t an overtly fall film but the family themes and their beautiful home just makes me want to watch it this time of year. It holds up so well and Martin Short is so funny as the wedding planner.
